Will Valdez

Will Valdez is a distinguished Biomechanical Engineer with extensive experience in research, teaching, and professional practice. Holding a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Utah (2010) and an M.S. in Bioengineering from the University of California San Diego (2017), specializing in Biomechanics, he successfully passed the candidacy exam (Ph.Dc) in Bioengineering during his time at UC San Diego. With a foundation in statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, and biomechanics, he conducted two years of research at the Musculoskeletal Research Laboratory, investigating the mechanical properties of porcine medial collateral ligaments. During his graduate studies, Mr. Valdez taught courses in biomechanics and specialized in cardiac biomechanics within the Cardiac Mechanics Research Group, dedicating over six years to research. Post-graduation, he engaged in post-graduate work, participating in instrumented motor vehicle crash tests adhering to SAE J211 standards. His expertise in accident reconstruction and biomechanical engineering has earned him membership in esteemed organizations, including NAPARS, SATAI, CAARS, and SAE, along with accreditation from ACTAR (#4517).
