Noah La Barba is a Forensic Expert with Aperture (formerly Biomechanical Research and Testing). Noah has worked on a wide variety of projects involving accident reconstruction and biomechanics. He has extensive hands-on testing experience with human volunteers and anthropomorphic test devices (ATDs), and he has participated in dozens of low-speed and high-speed instrumented full-scale crash tests. He has worked on hundreds of cases and is experienced in performing vehicle and site inspections, creating simulations, writing reports, and preparing trial exhibits.

Noah holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Long Beach. He has also completed undergraduate courses in biology and human anatomy from Long Beach City College as well as graduate courses in physiology and biomechanics from Johns Hopkins University. He is a certified Crash Data Retrieval Specialist and is an accredited accident reconstructionist through the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR).

Noah is an experienced user of FARO and Artec laser scanners. He is proficient in software such as PC-Crash, McHenry Software Inc.’s MSMAC, DSP Development Corporation’s DADiSP, PhotoModeler, and Autodesk’s suite of CAD programs including AutoCAD, Inventor, and 3DS Max. He is currently a member of the National Association of Professional Accident Reconstruction Specialists (NAPARS), the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), and the Southwestern Association of Technical Accident Investigators (SATAI).
