Noah La Barba is a Forensic Engineer with Aperture (formerly Biomechanical Research and Testing). Noah has worked on a wide variety of projects involving accident reconstruction and biomechanics. He has extensive hands-on testing experience with human volunteers and anthropomorphic test devices (ATDs), and he has participated in dozens of low-speed and high-speed instrumented full-scale crash tests. He has worked on hundreds of cases and is experienced in performing vehicle and scene inspections, creating simulations, and writing reports.

Noah holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Long Beach. He has also completed college-level courses in Biology and Human Anatomy from Long Beach City College. He is an accredited accident reconstructionist through the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstructionists (ACTAR).

Noah is an experienced user of the FARO 3D Laser Scanner and the Artec Leo 3D Laser Scanner. He is proficient in software such as McHenry Software Inc.’s MSMAC, DSP Development Corporation’s DADiSP, and Autodesk’s suite of CAD programs including AutoCAD, Inventor, and 3DS Max. He is currently a member of the National Association of Professional Accident Reconstruction Specialists (NAPARS), the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), and the Southwestern Association of Technical Accident Investigators (SATAI).
