Christopher Furbish is an Accident Reconstructionist for Aperture (formerly Biomechanical Research and Testing). Employed in the field of accident reconstruction and biomechanics since 2001, Christopher specializes in accident reconstruction, biomechanical analysis of injury, trauma causation and prevention, and sports-related injuries. Christopher has conducted hundreds of impact tests; including vehicle crash tests, anthropometric dummy tests, and human subject tests. He uses this expertise in the investigation and analysis of motor vehicle and bicycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, sports injuries, waterslide and amusement park incidents, industrial incidents, and slip/trip and fall accidents.

In 1999, Christopher received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Brown University. His course studies concentrated in biomedical engineering, with research focused in biomechanics.

Christopher is accredited as an accident reconstructionist through the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR). Some of his research and impact testing has been published and/or presented at the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS), the Southwestern Association of Technical Accident Investigators (SATAI), Collision: The International Compendium for Crash Research, the Society of Forensic Engineers and Scientists (SFES), and the ARC-CSI Crash Conference. Additionally, he has personally served as an instrumented human volunteer in numerous vehicle-to-vehicle and barrier impacts.

Christopher is certified in retrieving and analyzing vehicle event data recorder data. He is also a member of several professional societies, including the National Association of Professional Accident Reconstruction Specialists (NAPARS), the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the Southwestern Association of Technical Accident Investigators (SATAI), and the California Association of Accident Reconstruction Specialists (CA2RS).
