Alex Kazmierczak is a Biomechanical Engineer and Accident Reconstructionist with Aperture (formerly Biomechanical Research and Testing). Alex has been with Aperture since 2018 and is responsible for the investigation and analysis of injury-causing events; including vehicle and site inspections, accident reconstruction, and necessary biomechanical engineering calculations. During his time with Aperture, Alex has attended many accident reconstruction conferences. He has also completed courses in biomechanics, crash data retrieval, collision simulation software, video analysis techniques, and 3D laser scanner technologies. He has also participated in several instrumented crash tests as both a vehicle occupant and test coordinator for conferences, research purposes, and case work.

In 2017, Alex graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in biomechanics plus a minor in psychology from the University of Rochester in New York. In 2018, Alex earned his Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of California, Irvine. Here, he studied both graduate-level biomedical engineering and MBA-level business practices.

Alex is accredited as an accident reconstructionist through the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR) as well as a certified Crash Data Retrieval (CDR) Technician. He is also a member of several professional societies, including the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), California Association of Accident Reconstructionist Specialists (CA2RS), and the Southwestern Association of Technical Accident Investigators (SATAI). Some of his research and impact testing has been published and/or presented at SAE, SATAI, and Collision: The International Compendium for Crash Research.
