Scientific Analysis, Inc. Rebrands as Aperture

National forensics engineering firm, Aperture, LLC (“Aperture”), a Trinity Hunt Partners (“THP”) portfolio company, acquired Scientific Analysis, Inc. (“SAI”) in 2020. Starting immediately, SAI will rebrand as Aperture and continue to provide full-service expert analysis, but with a broader reach and a deeper bench.

“We are excited for the next phase of our relationship,” commented Robert Joyce, President and CEO of Aperture. “It is crucial to continue to build Aperture across the country, and we look forward to combining our teams and experience under one mission in order to significantly expand the value we can bring to our clients.”

SAI, founded by Steve Irwin in 1990, is a premier provider of accident reconstruction forensic engineering services based in Dallas, Texas while VAF, founded by Gene Vanderpol in 1998, is a premier provider of biomechanical and accident reconstruction forensic engineering services based in Carlsbad, California.

Steve Irwin, President of SAI, said, “Our partnership with Aperture and its current partner companies is the next step in our continued maturation as a company. Our partnering has created a larger organization in which SAI’s team members can continue their own growth and provides them a larger company in which to pursue a wider array of professional interests. The Aperture leadership has zeroed in on providing excellent service to the client base we’ve worked the last 30 years to create, and the SAI team looks forward to helping this larger group achieve its goals.”
