
Ted Yoder is a forensic accident reconstruction expert with Aperture LLC who specializes in the analysis and reconstruction of vehicle collisions using detailed, data-driven methods. He is an accredited traffic accident reconstructionist (ACTAR #2830) and applies advanced investigative techniques and industry-standard technologies to deliver clear, reliable findings.
Mr. Yoder brings extensive hands-on experience in collision reconstruction, scene analysis, and evidence documentation. Prior to joining Aperture LLC, he served as a Vehicular Crimes Detective with the Glendale Police Department (Arizona), leading complex investigations and building deep operational and leadership expertise.
He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Iowa and a Master of Education from Northern Arizona University. He is an FAA-certified commercial sUAS operator and is certified in the retrieval and analysis of vehicle event data recorder (EDR) data. Professional affiliations include SATAI, NAPARS, and SAE International.
He serves as a SATAI board member and President. He is also a Director on the board of the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR).
Mr. Yoder joined Aperture in 2026 as an accident reconstructionist. He has also served as an instrumented human volunteer in numerous vehicle-to-vehicle and barrier impacts, supporting research and real-world understanding of crash dynamics.
