Kevin Imada is a Forensic Engineer and Accident Reconstructionist with Aperture (formerly American Bio Engineers). Kevin has twin backgrounds in exercise science and mechanical engineering, meaning he is able to blend his knowledge of kinesiology and mechanics when reconstructing and investigating accidents involving autos, trucks, motorcycles, and pedestrians.

In 1997, Kevin earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Southern California. While at USC, he completed courses in biomechanics, kinesiology, anatomy, physiology, and the prevention of athletic injuries. Kevin went on to work for three major insurance companies over nineteen years, investigating personal and commercial insurance claims. He achieved the prestigious professional designation of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) in 2002.

In 2017, Kevin went back to school and earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. While pursuing his second degree, he achieved the Dean’s Honor Roll numerous times, and passed the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering examination. During his studies, he worked on a project designing a fatigue-testing machine that incorporated the six degrees of freedom of the human knee.

Kevin also holds an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation. Kevin is also a certified XL Tribometrist—a program designed to train professionals in slip and fall mechanics and hazards. On top of his certifications, Kevin has completed over 440 hours of law enforcement accident reconstruction courses including Traffic Collision Reconstruction 1 and 2, Auto-Pedestrian Collision Investigation, Investigation of Motorcycle Crashes, and Inspection and Investigation of Commercial Vehicle Crashes. He is a member of the National Association of Professional Accident Reconstruction Specialists (NAPARS) and the Southwestern Association of Technical Accident Investigators (SATAI).
