Eris Barillas is a Forensic Expert with Aperture (formerly WEXCO). With Aperture, her primary responsibility has been investigating premises liability, motor vehicle, and construction incidents to ultimately determine how and why they occurred. Eris has investigated over 6,000 separate incidents on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants, been deposed as an expert witness, and provided expert testimony at trial.
In 2007, Eris earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Mount St. Mary's University in Los Angeles, California. Eris is a certified playground safety inspector and English XL Tribometrist. She also holds certifications in OSHA Construction Safety & Health, California Building Code, and California Residential Code. Eris has attended continuing professional training at the University of Southern California related to understanding slip and fall events.
