Eugene Vanderpol

Executive Vice President - Biomechanics and Accident Reconstruction

Eugene Vanderpol is the Founder, Principal, and Senior Engineer of Aperture Carlsbad (formerly VA Forensics), a forensic engineering firm specializing in biomechanical injury analysis, accident reconstruction, human factors, and slip/trip and falls. Eugene has decades of experience in the accident reconstruction industry and has worked as an Accident Reconstructionist himself.

Eugene has worked for both plaintiffs and defendants to provide expert testimony in both state and federal courts nationwide. By representing both sides, Eugene has a unique understanding of the court’s process and knows the strengths and weaknesses for both plaintiff and defense cases. Aperture is one of the few companies in the United States that provides both biomechanics and accident reconstruction analyses. This is cost efficient for attorneys because they are essentially hiring two experts for the price of one.

Eugene has experience as a guest lecturer, speaking on the topic of the Biomechanics to multiple classrooms. He is a member of many professional organizations and societies, including the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES), and National Association of Professional Accident Reconstruction Specialist (NAPARS).
