Roger Hathaway

Forensic Expert - Accident Reconstruction

Roger Hathaway is an Accident Reconstructionist with Aperture (formerly Scientific Analysis Inc.). Roger has been with Aperture since 2022 and his work contributes to trial and testimony for litigation cases.

In 2016, Roger received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. After graduating, Roger went to work for FSX Equipment, a company that manufactures equipment used in the service of heavy-duty diesel vehicles. At FSX Roger specialized in design engineering, manufacturing support, and project management.

Roger is proficient with a 3D laser scanner, GPS survey gear, photography, aerial drone, and software including Autodesk’s AutoCAD, Engineering Dynamics Corporation’s Human Vehicle Environment (HVE), EOS Systems Inc.’s PhotoModeler, and Leica Cyclone 3DR. Roger has completed his Fundamentals of Engineering exam and holds his Engineer in Training certification from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). He has a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification acquired from Purdue University. He is also a Texas Department of Public Safety Private Investigator and is a certified remote pilot of small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) through the FAA.
