Forensic Expert

Randy Wilson is a Forensic Expert with Aperture (formerly WEXCO). Randy has extensive experience in both the heavy construction and auto mechanic industries. He has worked in heavy construction for over 20 years and grew up helping his father repair vehicles at his body shop. Randy has extensive auto mechanics experience—he worked in one of the largest parts departments for General Motors and has built custom car audio for companies such as Kenwood, Sony, and Alpine.

Randy started his career in heavy equipment by building and maintaining mobile rock plants for the rock, sand, and gravel industry. Prior to Aperture, Randy worked with one of the largest North American crane companies on the ACT 100 list (American Cranes & Transport) where he was a responsible and proficient crane operator for all types of cranes, from 15- to 500-ton capacity. Notably, he has served in supervisory and safety roles for large California refinery projects, such as complete refinery shutdowns and overseeing the removal of major refinery components.

In 2000, Randy joined the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE Local 12). He started with the apprenticeship program where he learned grade checking and plan reading through Mt. San Antonio College. During this program, Randy also attended instructor-led classes associated with written and practical examinations for equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, scrapers, excavators, water pulls, and forklifts. Randy holds a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) from California as well.
