Forensic Engineer

Enrique Rivera is a Forensic Engineer with Aperture (formerly Wexco). Enrique has been with Aperture since 2015, and focuses primarily on incidents involving premises liability, slip/trip and falls, stairway falls, illumination, safety glass, building code compliance, safety engineering, construction safety & health, products liability, chairs and stools, lithium-ion cells, cellphones, ladders, transportation, human factors, automobiles, accident reconstruction, construction management, and heavy construction equipment.

In 2015, Enrique earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from California State University, Fullerton. Enrique has hands-on experience as an automotive technician, both rough and finish carpentry, and in operating heavy equipment. He is a proficient user of the English XL Tribometer and the Leika BLK360 3D Laser Scanner. Enrique participated in several laboratory inspections using 3D computed tomography and materials spectroscopy for casework purposes. He is currently a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), and American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).
